How we research and review our guides
- Start with the reader's question. Each guide has a specific job, from checking a microbe combination to interpreting a recruiting update.
- Separate evidence from reports. We cite official McKinsey guidance for conduct and published requirements. Third-party descriptions are identified as reports, not treated as official scoring or format specifications.
- Write original exercises. Fictional scenarios are clearly labelled. Worked answers explain the reasoning, the limits and the tempting mistakes.
- Check the calculations. Our exercise tests recalculate the Red Rock dataset and check all 20 combinations in the Sea Wolf example. Judgment exercises explain defensible alternatives rather than inventing a single official answer.
- Show sources and uncertainty. Guides name their sources and review dates. We do not publish an invented pass mark, guaranteed invitation timeline or hiring prediction.
Articles are attributed to the Solve Game Prep editorial team. We use AI-assisted research and drafting, then check claims against the cited material and review worked examples. We do not present AI output as an official assessment rule or claim a named expert review that did not happen.
Practice, not a prediction
Our examples help you build transferable skills. A practice result is not an official Solve score and cannot tell you whether McKinsey will invite you to interview. Use preparation resources before your assessment, never as outside assistance during it.
